As Walla Walla Public Schools K–5 libraries are beginning this year’s 20 Washington Library Association (WLA) Children’s Choice Picture Book Award nominees, Elementary Library-Media Specialists are finding some of the best learning connections happen beyond the pages of a book.
Families are encouraged to schedule a conference with their student’s teacher to discuss academic progress, celebrate successes and identify ways to support continued learning.
